Lightspace Delivers AR Headset Defense System to Ukraine
On March 31, Lightspace partnered with Teters, a certified Latvian supplier and manufacturer of military weapons and equipment, to launch a donation campaign to finance the supply of augmented reality (AR) assisted remote weapon systems for Ukraine’s armed forces.
Today, Lightspace has finished assembling the first AR display to be delivered to Ukraine. “With your enormous support so far, we have been able to assemble the first headset to be integrated into the defense system and will be delivered to Ukrainian forces as soon as possible. Let’s keep up the speed so we can deliver all the systems Ukrainians have asked for,” the company said in a statement.

“Our developed AR-enhanced remote weapon station will serve as an advanced defensive mechanism, allowing Ukrainian forces to act with a higher capacity, enhanced survivability, and reduced risks due to the separation of the fire application point from the actual position of military personnel,” said Andrejs Andrejevs, CTO of Teters. “The RWS allows for a range of advanced tactics already proven in the field. The use of AR glasses is a novelty which will further reduce limitations of this remote weapon, considering its use in highly dynamic scenarios.”
To date, the campaign has raised over $65,000. To donate or to learn more about the Defend Ukraine Donation Campaign, visit fundly.com/defend-ukraine-rws.
