Universal Adds AR Experience to Epic Universe Preview Center
Visitors to the Epic Universe Preview Center at Universal CityWalk can now use an augmented reality (AR) app to view The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic and other models.
The Epic Universe Preview Center opened on June 13 as a way for fans to explore models of the Epic Universe, which is set to open in 2025. The Center features models of future attractions and experiences and allows guest to purchase a variety of new merchandise inspired by the upcoming themed environment.
“Our vision for Epic Universe is historic,” said Tom Williams, chairman and chief executive officer for Universal Parks & Resorts. “It will build on everything we have done and become the most immersive and innovative theme park we have ever created. It is an investment in our business, our industry, our team members, and our community.”
Visitors can download the Epic Universe Preview Center augmented reality app before their visit so they can experience highlights of the rides and attractions at Universal Epic Universe. The most popular land will undoubtably be The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, but the park will also feature Celestial Park, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, Super Nintendo World, and Dark Universe.
