HOLOFIL Intros AR Upgrade to 3D Model Viewer App
HOLOFIL has launched a new augmented reality (AR) upgrade to its 3D model viewer Android app. HOLOFIL 3D model viewer app was launched a few years ago and, according to the company, is already quite popular around the world with its unique features. On demand from its users, the app now is upgraded with a full-fledged AR experience ability. A beta version is now available to try.
HOLOFIL AR app allows loading of new 3D models in standard 3D file formats including animated model formats and allows the model interactions in the AR environment. The user interface is minimalist, clean, and easy to navigate to make the entire experience hassle free. The possibilities of loading animated 3D models means now users can create a range of interesting new AR experiences with interactive models in real world environments. Some key features involve the ability to record and export the media in either still image or mp4 video format, enabling sharing of the experiences with a wider audience.
HOLOFIL app ecosystem has always been designed to be compatible with its display hardware; another key app feature is the ability to export 3D animations in mp4 videos to be able to use them with HOLOFIL hardware displays, especially with the consumer display HOLOFIL-cardboard targeted towards young children to promote 3D design ecosystem learning. The app also allows interactive explorations of 3D models with the bluetooth controller support that comes with the HOLOFIL-cardboard product. HOLOFIL Android app thus forms a key component in the HOLOFIL software ecosystem as a platform to service a range of functionalities including regular 3D model explorations by touch, bluetooth controller, 3D animations export, AR environment exploration, and media export.
