This spring, the XR Association (XRA) is launching a new podcast, Immersive Insights, to promote the thoughtful advancement and responsible development of cutting-edge immersive technologies. Hosted by XRA’s team leaders, the podcast will feature two mini-series exploring the impact of immersive technology in today’s world.

The first mini-series will explore the competitiveness of the United States in immersive technology. Leveraging XRA’s upcoming white paper, developed in partnership with the Digital Trade and Data Governance Hub at George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, this series will explore the impact of extended reality (XR) technology on different aspects of life, such as learning, work, and play. Additionally, the podcast will examine its implications for economic competitiveness and national security.

The second mini-series will dive into the use of XR technology in education. Building upon XRA’s “Insights from Teachers on the Future of XR for Education,” this second series will provide practical insights into integrating immersive technology into classrooms.

The pilot episode features bestselling author and visionary Steven Johnson. As one of the foremost thought leaders on innovation and technology, Johnson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and unites a deep understanding of scientific progress with a sharp sensitivity to contemporary online trends.
