XRA: Tell Congress to Support the XR Industry
The XR Association (XRA) is calling on all tech enthusiasts to reach out to members of Congress and encourage them to vote for the CHIPS-PLUS Act; the Act is being considered by the U.S. Senate this week and U.S. House this week.
This legislation designates “immersive technology” as one of the 10 key technology focus areas to receive an additional $250B research and development funding through the National Science Foundation. It also establishes that extended reality (XR) is a critical part of the emerging technology ecosystem of the future.
The XR Association says it fought hard for this language to be included, but the bill’s passage is not assured. Click here to encourage your representatives to support the CHIPS-PLUS Act.
