Qadra Evans to Keynote WiCT CEDIA Expo Luncheon
Qadra Evans, part of the executive leadership team of The House That She Built and Zillow’s director of industry relations for new construction, is set to keynote the 15th annual Women in Consumer Technology (WiCT) luncheon at the 2023 CEDIA Expo.
Qadra will share the inspiring story of The House That She Built, whose mission is to support workforce development initiatives in the construction industry by generating awareness of the skilled trades to the largest underrepresented community. The House That She Built is designed to cultivate conversations and curiosity around careers in STEM and construction to inspire growing minds and build a better world.
Based on Mollie Elkman’s book, The House That She Built, the organization hopes to educate young girls and get them excited about construction by raising awareness about the viability of construction jobs for women.
The WiCT event will be held on Friday, Sept. 8 at the Colorado Convention Center in The Four Seasons Ballroom 1. The event will begin with a networking reception—including the organization’s famous Bloody Mary and Bellini Bar—from 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. The luncheon will take place from 12:15 – 1:30 p.m.
