Planar is set to showcase a selection of LED display solutions designed to deliver next-generation experiences in workplace settings at InfoComm 2022. From fine pitch LED solutions delivering unparalleled visual performance and flexibility, including a new line of seamless, wide-view LED displays for modern-day hybrid meetings, to an LED volume for extended reality (XR) for corporate communications, Planar will showcase the company’s most advanced set of LED display solutions for customers in corporate applications and beyond.

The company’s XR stage will feature fine pitch LED display technology and motion capture technology from Planar’s sister company, OptiTrack. The comprehensive XR stage will demonstrate how customers can transform their communications, creating immersive experiences for audiences.

The XR stage will be powered by the Planar CarbonLight VX Series line of carbon fiber-framed indoor LED video wall and flooring displays. Introduced in 2021 with the launch of the Planar Studios initiative to address today’s fast-growing virtual production (VP) and XR market, the family supports hanging, wall-mounted, free-standing and curved LED video wall as well as flooring installations. Planar CarbonLight VX Series also delivers exceptional on-camera and in-camera visual properties with unrivaled deployment versatility, according to the company.

Attendees will also experience OptiTrack CinePuck, a purpose-built tracking tool for VP and XR and broadcast studios. CinePuck delivers access to world-class tracking accuracy and precision, in addition to an all-new industrial grade IMU and ultra-bright wide-angle LEDs. The 6DoF IMU data is combined with optical data to produce a tracking result better than the sum of its parts, resulting in smooth tracking—even with significant occlusion.

Planar says the XR stage represents it ongoing commitment to advance state of the art of VP and XR, helping bring such applications to corporate customers.
