FOR-A Showcases EZTrack at NAB Show 2023
At the 2023 NAB Show, FOR-A showcased its EZTrack camera tracking system as part of a dynamic virtual studio and augmented reality offering.
EZtrack is designed to be ideal for green-screen studios, and can also be used with LED walls and volumes.
EZtrack takes a unique approach to camera tracking, using a small number of4 LED-infrared point light sources, which the the sensor and the EZtrack Hub on the top of each camera use as references to calculate the geometry. This allows for virtually instant set-up with no need for long installation times, while still providing precision tracking in the six degrees of freedom: X, Y, and Z space; pan, tilt, and roll.
EZtrack takes a unique approach to camera tracking: provided as a small Hub unit to which user can interface multiple sensor configurations, from LED infrared sources to mocap cameras and PTZ/mechanical heads. The sensor, placed on the top of each camera, is used as a reference to calculate the geometry. This allows for virtually instant set-up with no need for long installation times, while still providing precision tracking in the six degrees of freedom: X, Y, and Z space; pan, tilt, and roll—as well as the zoom and focus metadata from any optical lens connected to the system.
