Exertis Almo will focus on building relationships, educating the industry on the benefits of neurodiversity, and philanthropic activity with organizations that support sustainability and diversity, equity, and inclusivity (DEI) at InfoComm 2024. The company will exhibit in Booth W1912.

Exertis Almo’s Rob Voorhees Talks About “Autism and AV”

As part of its commitment to DEI, Rob Voorhees, business development manager II – technical specialist at Exertis Almo is presenting the sold out session, “Autism and AV: Furthering the Discussion to Unlock Abilities.”

On Thursday, June 13, at 10:00 a.m. Voorhees will discuss how to further the conversation about neurodiversity in AV to maximize employee skill levels and attract a more diverse customer base. This session includes his personal experience as the parent of a neurodiverse daughter and the process of helping her navigate her way through school and, soon enough, into her professional career.

Philanthropic Support Focused on DEI and Sustainability

Exertis Almo continues to find ways to support and give back to the AV industry and in alignment with Almo Corp. outreach efforts, specifically focused on DEI and sustainability. This year, Exertis Almo is supporting the following organizations:

Swim With Purpose (Corporate Sponsor): A charitable fund with a mission to refurbish the swimming facility at Kentucky State University, an HBCU (historically black college and university). Founded by AV industry executive and avid swimmer/swim coach, Sam Taylor, and officially endorsed by Olympic gold-medalist and swimming legend Michael Phelps and the Michael Phelps Foundation, Swim With Purpose was created to support the re-establishment of the indoor pool facility for all—students, faculty, and community—to utilize for a healthy lifestyle and therapy.

SAVe (Impact Sponsor): SAVe is a non-profit and the first U.S.-based organization to bring AV leaders together to help make substantial progress in areas related to responsible waste management, life cycle carbon emission reduction, and reduced energy usage.
