DeCoded: Crimson AV on QSR Tech

On this episode of LAVNCH [CODE] DeCoded, Will Bear of Crimson AV discusses the latest trends and innovations for digital signage in quick-service restaurants (QSRs).

The largest segment of digital signage is retail, but the fastest growing sector is food service and specifically, QSR. Looking at opportunities from the outside in, the use of outdoor signage is a great way to attract customers as they drive or walk by. As the customer enters the QSR there is the menu board for product selection. When ready to place an order there is the point of sale (POS) which may be self-service or through a QSR service person. As the customer waits for their order, display screens reduce wait times where appropriate and when they sit down to eat the display can provide entertainment while inside the restaurant. As we all know, a huge percentage of QSR sales come in the drive through. This is a great place for digital signage displays. At its core, digital signage is about improving the customer experience and building customer loyalty and repeat business.
