The XQ Lidar Sensor creates a 2D 360° virtual detection surface around itself. Within this large area, users can define up to 24 activation zones. These zones are triggered when an object, such as a hand, enters its virtual surface and relevant content can be played on screen.

The Lidar Sensor can detect multiple objects simultaneously within each Activation Zone, when users turn on its built-in Object Count feature, this provides a real-time tally of the number of objects present.

This functionality is especially valuable for presence-sensing applications, offering a tool for capturing footfall data.
