To address the growing need for products that offer security and surveillance in both public and regulated spaces, Exertis Almo has expanded its drone system offering to include products from Inspired Flight and Sony Airpeak. Exertis Almo has also partnered with Sonoran Desert Institute (SDI) to provide partners with prep courses and the ability to expand drone sales and services.

The newly available drone products and services were shown for the first time at Exertis Almo’s final 2023 E4 Experience on October 18 in Phoenix. They joined existing drone partners Autel and DJI to demonstrate the full range of options and expertise available through Exertis Almo.

“With commercial drones being used more frequently for public and government safety purposes, now is the right opportunity for integrators to diversify their product offering with another product category their customers can employ right away,” said Dan Smith, EVP/COO, Exertis Almo. “The increased functionality and improved application awareness of drones are leading to rapid growth. Our team has been selling drones since 2014 through Stampede, Exertis and now Exertis Almo and we have secured our expertise as the go-to enterprise drone distributor.”

The following new drone products and services are currently available:

Inspired Flight is a blue UAS partner, which allows Exertis Almo to provide U.S.-made drones that are secure for both government and non-government use, including:

  • IF800 Quadcopter: This drone features a lightweight, compact, and foldable frame, making it easily transportable and deployable in diverse environments. It is designed for customers in need of aerial capabilities, such as infrastructure inspections, terrain mapping, or lidar survey.
  • IF1200A Hexacoptor: Category-leading flight times and an optimal user experience make it the heavy-lift platform of choice for the most risk-adverse operator, according to Exertis Almo. The SAFE drone capability allows the IF1200A to maintain safe and controlled flights, even in the extremely unlikely event of a motor failure.

Sony Airpeak is Exertis Almo’s green UAS partner, with a drone system created to meet the highest levels of cybersecurity and National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) supply chain requirements.

The Sony Airpeak is supported by a remote controller, an app, and cloud service, which work together to create a high-performance aircraft system. From piloting and camera work to flight programming and data management, the Airpeak system is comprehensive and easy to use. It offers powerful flight performance and is the smallest drone in its class for alpha mirrorless cameras, according to Exertis Almo.

Finally, SDI provides Exertis Almo partners with prep courses to prepare for the FAA Part 107 drone license test to fly drones commercially in the U.S. Drone services also give integrators the ability to expand their own training offering across the U.S.
