On this episode of LAVNCH [CODE] DeCoded, David Drain from the Digital Signage Experience (DSE) discusses the 2023 show and what attendees can expect from the show floor to networking and beyond.

Digital Signage Experience is taking place December 2-5 in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. According to show organizers, DSE is the ultimate gathering of digital signage experts, and explores every aspect of digital and interactive display technology, from concept and design to content and analytics.

DSE will be co-located with Live Design International (LDI), an event for lighting and sound designers and technicians. It’s the best in lighting, projection/video, audio, special effects, extended reality (XR), staging, rigging, and automation/software. DSE attendees will have access to the LDI show floor and vice versa.

On Saturday, Dec. 2, attendees can choose between two all-day programs: the Las Vegas Backstage Tour or the Digital Signage Certified Experts (DSCE) Course. The Backstage Tour includes AREA15, Meow Wolf, Resorts World, and Enchant. Following the DSCE Course will be a keynote presentation by Laura Frank of framework on “Fearless Collaboration: Why the Next Generation is Essential for Success.”

On Sunday, Dec. 3, full conference attendees will be able to choose sessions from multiple tracks, including Content, DOOH, Retail, Strategy, and Technology. Cheryl Catterall, creative director at Moment Factory will present a lunch keynote, “Shifting Realities of Place: Digital Enhancement Pushing the Boundaries.” Sony will host a cocktail reception that is open to all DSE attendees.

On Monday, Dec. 4, the DSE expo floor officially opens. Brian Loo of Meow Wolf will deliver his keynote presentation, “Step into the Extraordinary: Unconventional Innovation in Immersive Environments.” The day will be capped off by the DSE Awards, aka DIZZIES.

On Tuesday, December 5, a final keynote session and the WAVIT Women in Digital Signage Lunch will be held.
