MPA1000/ME10: A Pro AV Manufacturer’s Launch Pad to AV over IP with IPMX

Macnica believes that interoperable AV over IP has the power to transform both live video production and Pro AV, with exciting new workflows and applications that could revolutionize the way we tell stories with video and audio. Join rAVe’s Gary Kayye and Macnica Technology’s Andrew Starks for a LAVNCH & LEARN about Macnica’s MPA1000 and ME10, your path to interoperable AV over IP products built on the Internet Protocol Media Experience (IPMX) open standard. In this session, you will get a closer look at the MPA1000 Launch Kit, which delivers 4K60 4:4:4 video, audio and control signals over a single Ethernet connection with excellent quality. The MPA1000 Launch Kit is the first development kit built to support IPMX at an incredibly low price of $1,995 USD.

Andrew Starks is the director of product management for Macnica, a supplier of open-standards-based pro AV and broadcast components for IP-based infrastructures. He leads Macnica’s standards efforts and is also on the AIMS Alliance board of directors, where he has focused on AIMS’ Pro AV initiative, contributing significantly to the development of the IPMX road map and its marketing plan. Andrew’s passion for video began in high school, where he volunteered at a local television station, producing several programs and creating a custom interactive television channel that predates the web. In 1997, he founded Tightrope Media Systems, which made the Pro AV industry’s first web-browser-based digital signage system. In his personal time, Andrew studies computer science and programming, and he loves camping and scouting with his wife and three kids in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
