Ultra Encode Universal Live Media Encoders
Magewell’s new Ultra Encode universal live media encoders offer integrators and AV professionals a flexible and affordable encoding solution for applications ranging from live streaming over the internet to multi-site video distribution and AV over IP.
Available in HDMI or SDI models, Ultra Encode flexibly supports multiple encoding formats – H.264, H.265 (HEVC), and NDI®|HX – and streaming protocols including SRT, RTMP, RTMPS, RTSP, and HLS. Configurable presets enable easy streaming to YouTube™ Live, Facebook™ Live, Twitch™, or custom targets, with select protocols allowing simultaneous streaming to multiple destinations.
For IP production workflows and AV-over-IP applications, Ultra Encode also supports NDI®|HX technology. The bandwidth-friendliness of NDI|HX enables it to be transmitted over Wi-Fi, maximizing infrastructure flexibility. The encoders can be combined with Magewell’s Pro Convert decoders for end-to-end AV transport in NDI|HX or streaming formats.
Pro Convert multi-format IP decoders
Seamlessly bridging AV-over-IP and live streaming with baseband display and distribution equipment, Magewell’s Pro Convert NDI® decoders transform IP streams for output over HDMI or SDI to baseband monitors, projectors, production and distribution equipment. The compact converters support NDI® AV-over-IP technology as well as the Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) protocol for internet-delivered H.264 and H.265 streams. They also support additional streaming protocols including RTSP, RTMP, UDP, RTP and HTTP.
Offering the high reliability, assured performance and compact size of dedicated hardware compared to software-based stream playout, the low-latency decoders are ideal for applications including multi-site video distribution; image magnification (IMAG); video walls; digital signage; remote production; or bridging legacy and next-generation media infrastructures. Pro Convert decoders can be paired with Pro Convert encoders or Magewell’s Ultra Encode universal live media encoders to enable robust, end-to-end media transport.
